Revere Volunteers Honored

On Tuesday October 25, we hosted a recognition and appreciation dinner to thank Mayor Thomas Ambrosino and Superintendent Paul Dakin. After the dinner, Mayor Ambrosino, Superintendent Dakin, and the Revere School Committee honored our volunteers in Revere with a ceremony that recognized each volunteer and presented each with a certificate.

Over 60 older adult volunteers were honored for their dedication to serving Revere’s students who struggle with literacy. Mayor Ambrosino spoke on the intrinsic benefit that the volunteers receive from working with Revere’s students and spoke of the collaboration between Generations Incorporated and Revere with enthusiasm, saying “the benefits we get out of it are equally important and enormous.” Superintendent Dakin added that the collaboration is a way to work smarter and share a wealth of experience.
