Mary Gunn at TEDxBoston on July 29th
She is presenting, “One Solution for Two Significant Social Problems: How bringing older and younger generations together can improve both the health of senior citizens and the literacy skills of children.” TED (Technology, Entertainment, Design) is a small non-profit dedicated to bringing together individuals across disciplines to share their innovative ideas with the world. Our programs have wrapped up, end of the year parties have happened, good-byes have been said; but before everyone left there were smiles & hugs and some more volunteering (re-painting hopscotch on a neighborhood playground!) just for good measure.

Meet our new Board Member: Michel Idiokitas
Michel joins our board after a successful career in finance and community organizing. He first joined Generations Incorporated four years ago as an Experience Corps Member (ECM) and currently serves at the Yawkey Boys & Girls Club in Roxbury. He brings his experience in finance to our board, as well as to our older adults. He recently offered a training for his fellow ECMs on personal finance. As a leader in his community, he’s actively involved in recruiting other older adults, especially men of color. Prior to his experience with Generations Incorporated, Michel served on the Board of Directors at the Bowdoin Street Health Center. Michel currently resides in Dorchester, MA.
