On Thursday, April 30, we celebrated the work of the Campaign for Grade Level Reading. In doing so, we welcomed Ralph Smith, GLR's Managing Director, as our special guest speaker. We also welcomed Lester Strong, CEO of AARP Experience Corps as our Master of Ceremonies. Our co-chairs, Carolyn Lyons, Director of Strategic Initiatives at GLR and Steve Bryant, President of Columbia Gas and one of our Board Members, opened up the event.
We surpassed our fundraising goal of $65,000, and over $15,000 was raised during the actual program. A special thank you to all who provided support. You helped us succeed in reaching our goal.
Special thanks to the following for making this year's event a success!
