Although the years that passed and the distance between us kept us from seeing each other over the years, Manny and I also had a very special bond that no one knew but us...When we did get to see one another we hugged and held on as if we would not get to see each other again. We would look at each and almost cry because we were so happy to see one another

I belive that we we have those moments again. The next time he as well as all of my loved ones that have passed on will have good health
Isa,25:8,9

So my dear brother Manny, while you are sleeping, get a good rest.
I will be looking for you and ready to get that hug again

I really not know where to begin,Manny was my brother by way of a blended family my father married his mother. We all hit it off from the very beginning never referring to ourselfs as sept or half brothers and sisters. We were brothers and sisters period, and sheared so many great times together as family. When the twins were born ( Eroy and Louise) that made the unions even closer having sibblins in common. As teenagers Manny and I were always together and had so much fun. We went to parties and dances together and also joined the service together.
The hills in Dorchester was our playground for many years in a different era thats seems so far removed now that he is gone.He may be gone but will never be forgotten. For those who hung around us not so long ago the memories will never fade the good times and bad were a right of passage. RIP my brother we all love you...

I am so sad about Manny. As the Executive Director of Generations Inc. I so want to attend his funeral. But unfortunately, my family has a major event in NYC this weekend and I will not be able to attend. To the entire Fernandes Family, Please know that I loved your father. His loss is huge for all of us at Generations Inc., the Marshall School, the children, the community.

He brought us light. We will make every effort to keep his light in our hearts forever.

It is difficult to put into words what Manny meant to me and the children at the Marshall School. I only knew Manny for one school term, but it felt that I knew him for a long time. How I remember his friendliness and his greeting my first day at the school. He made me feel so welcomed.I will always remember the decorating we did in our room as he sat and gave directions on how it should be done it was always "we" should do this or that I always asked him who was the "we". Manny will be missed by so many. I was not at the School this term but will always remember his love and kindness not only to the children but to every one who came into that room. THANK YOU MANNY
We know that you are at Peace now Manny and we thank God for lending you to us.
