Jennie Woo, Development Coordinator

Jennie spent her childhood in New Jersey and received her Bachelors of Arts in Art History and Women’s and Gender Studies at Rutgers University. A year abroad teaching English in Vietnam ignited a passion for promoting educational missions and supporting the pursuit of information. After returning from abroad, Jennie was an integral member of the fundraising, event planning, and database management team at the Boston Athenaeum, one of the oldest independent libraries and cultural institutions in the nation. In 2009 Jennie shifted her focus and followed her dream of becoming a chef. After a foray in kitchens in the Tidewater Region of Virginia and in Cambridge, Jennie returned to her roots in development at a healthcare institution servicing Greater Boston. In the spring of 2016, Jennie joined the staff at Generations Incorporated as the Development Coordinator to champion life-changing intergenerational literacy initiatives. Outside of work, Jennie enjoys spending time with her family and exploring new cuisines.
