| Begin Recruiting. Recruiting an appropriate person to serve
as your VISTA is the most important part of the process. Once
we approve the position description, the selection of the VISTA
candidate is largely your responsibility. Your organization
should recruit locally but we will also send you information
on applicants that apply via the AmeriCorps national recruiting
system if they express an interest in your position and seem
reasonably qualified. |
Ongoing |
| Identify a candidate to whom you would like to offer a position

we have reviewed the application, your placement can be given
'preliminary approval'– contingent upon the receipt of
the required paperwork and final Corporation approval. |
May 21st |
