DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN AMERICORPS*VISTA


Development Associate for Individual Giving


9:00 - 9:30 - Check online for donations, process donations, write thank yous, etc.

9:30 - 10:45 - Compile Siamese Sam sales statistics. Develop and execute strategies for selling the book to the public. Write grants to secure corporate sponsorships.

10:45 - Noon - Create direct mail campaign: timeline, content, audience, ask. Execute: print, stick, stuff, bulk mail trip to post office.

12:00 - Lunch

1:00 - Research prospective grantmakers, develop angle, check-up report to the Executive Director and Associate Director of Development.

1:30 - 2:30 - Go to Development meeting to check in with everyone’s projects and progress, make sure everyone is on the same page, and get assigned new tasks.

2:30 - 3:30 - Develop topics for the new blog. Create the new blog: layout, features, pictures, content, etc.

3:30 - 4:30 - Create up new strategies for targeting new individual donors. Create new strategies for cultivating existing donors.

4:30 - 5:00 - Meet with other VISTAs to discuss our various tasks and make sure we still feel connected while doing our own things.

5:30 - Attend monthly board meetings and prepare board materials.
