If you would like a part-time volunteer opportunity, if you are age 55 or older, and if and you have time and enthusiasm to share, become a part of our Experience Corps team! Help a child, help your community, and help yourself. Inspire students and forge strong ties with other volunteers
Join hundreds of your neighbors to help children improve their literacy skills and build self confidence! We have over 350 Experience Corps volunteers and more are joining our program every day. We also engage more than 30 AmeriCorps members and AmeriCorps *VISTA members that serve with us every year. Last year our volunteers provided 115,719 hours of service! All ages are welcome.

There are two ways to serve full time:
AmeriCorps members serve for 1700 hours over a 10 month period (September to June), providing important hands-on direct support to our nationally recognized intergenerational literacy program. These members serve side by side with our Experience Corps members in school and after school settings..
AmeriCorps*VISTA members serve for a full 12 months in exciting and important capacity building activities such as recruitment of volunteers, marketing, and fundraising! Every year, our *VISTA members provide critical service to support, sustain, and expand our gold-standard literacy programming. Our VISTA members serve for a full year, starting in August.
