AmeriCorps*VISTA

Are you ready to commit to a full year of service that will change lives including your own?
If so, AmeriCorps*VISTA may be right for you!

We offer a large and thriving *VISTA program that places members at Generations Incorporated and other innovative nonprofits in Massachusetts. Most *VISTA members begin and end their year of full time service in early August. Positions vary but include:

  • Serve on the development team and help your organization build their base of funding through grants, individual solicitations, and special events.
  • Market your organization through print and web media including: brochures, annual reports, e-newsletters, and Twitter and Facebook updates.
  • Design and implement new program curricula to help your organization meet the needs of its constituents.
  • Recruit and train community volunteers.

Are you an organization interested in hosting a *VISTA member?

As an AmeriCorps*VISTA Grantee, we place *VISTA members in Massachusetts based non-profit organizations. All members are placed in organizations whose missions and services have a link to the following:

  • Services for older adults (organizations who engage older adults in volunteer roles or who support older adults through a variety of services);
  • Children’s Literacy (organizations who help children to succeed as they are learning to read);
  • Civic Engagement.
  • Innovative solutions to pressing problems
