Experience Never Retires.  Become a Generations Incorporated volunteer. Use your experience in literacy programs that inspire students and improve schools.

Qualifications and Responsibilities

  • No previous teaching or experience with children necessary – only life experience needed!
  • Volunteers of all ages welcome – must be committed to developing intergenerational relationships and strengthening the diverse Experience Corps team
  • Attend initial trainings and ongoing workshops to develop skills for serving in our literacy programs and working with school-aged children
  • One full school year commitment

  • Stipends for those who qualify depending on availability, and educational awards upon finishing service with certain AmeriCorps or Commonwealth Corps positions
